Rankin has released the first issue of his magazine this winter, entitled 'HUNGER' and as part of the release he has also set up 'HUNGER TV'. This video of Cheryl Cole is part of a selection of films he has made for the campaign. The soundtrack is our remix of 'Drive' by Akira Kiteshi.
A friend of mine, Jamie Wright, has recently released the first issue of his beautiful magazine: Fourth & Main. We were interviewed and took part in a photo shoot for the magazine. Here is a sneak peak of some of the pages.
Do you remember that classic 80's tune 'Why' by Carly Simon? Well, we have done a cover of it in collaboration with Maya Jane Coles and it sounds like this, we hope you enjoy.
This collaboration is the first of a series of tracks we have done with different producers. We have also worked with Dark Sky on a track of ours called 'Tremors' and with Craze and Hoax on a track called 'Gold', so watch this space if you want to hear more exciting tunes...
These two photos were taken in the early hours of this morning and show the street we live in coated in mist. These shots remind me of Gregory Crewdson's photography, which I wrote about in January.
Later this month we will be attending the premier of a film called 'Skin', directed by Ryan Hope. Ryan has been the mastermind behind our videos for 'Drive' and 'Cocoon'.
'Skin' pushes the boundaries involving art and the human body. It also explores the meaning of art and tattooing for each of the subjects and is a fascinating insight into the significance of body art. The film features contributions from artists such as Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Richard Prince and Raymond Pettibon. It is all happening in association with Dasha Zhukova’s Garage Magazine. A London screening will take place on November 30th.
