Earlier this year we were asked to write the soundtrack for the first ever TV advertising campaign for the fashion brand 'All Saints'. We decided that our track 'Got Me Wrong' would suit the mood perfectly and so we set about remixing the original track to fit the advert. Below is the final result!  We also feature very momentarily (blink and you will miss us) in the advert alongside some of the other artists involved in the campaign. It is currently airing in cinemas and is soon to be released on TV.

DOUBLE EXPOSURE

When I returned from shooting the video for 'Tidal Wave' in LA with Subfocus, I was very inspired by the use of double exposure in the video and have looked into the way other photographers have mastered the technique. Below are some photos I really like, which use this technique:

'CHANCES' ACOUSTIC

I meant to post this when it when up online in the summer. This is a version of 'Chances' with me performing on the piano in Rankin's studio. This is the first time we have filmed any songs so stripped back. It was a very special moment.

'EARLY HOURS' EP LAUNCH

On Thursday night we played a gig at The Lexington in London to launch our latest EP, 'Early Hours'. It was one of our favourite shows to date. Thank you to everyone who came along, here's to many more wonderful shows in the future.

SUBFOCUS + ALPINES: 'TIDAL WAVE'

The evolution of 'Tidal Wave' has been a slow and steady one which began in the summer of 2011. As with any collaboration we have been involved with, the process of writing the song in question always takes longer than any song we make as a band solely. Much of that is do with with building chemistry and gradually understanding the craft of the other artist. This can't happen over night. So, after months of development and alteration we created 'Tidal Wave', which I think beautifully combines our two worlds, sonically and visually. The video has only been online for two days and it has already built up over 100,000 views, which is incredible. Thank you for watching! We hope you enjoy.

CYRIL HAHN REMIX: 'CHANCES'

Today our first remix from the 'Early Hours' EP went up online. The incredible, Vancouver based producer Cyril Hahn has remixed 'Chances'. Hahn has risen to fame in the past couple of months for his remixes of Destiny's Child 'Say My Name' and Mariah Carey's 'Touch My Body'. If you haven't listened to them yet I strongly recommend you do so. Enjoy!
